Alt House Privacy Policy

1.Who we are and what this policy covers

Alt House, Corp. (“Alt House,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the institutional website at https://althouse.tech (the “Site”). This policy describes the Site’s browser preference storage, hosting and correspondence sent in connection with the Site.

TruTake is a separate service operated by Alt House. This policy does not describe data practices within TruTake. Its Privacy Policy governs that service. Other websites linked from the Site have their own privacy policies.

2.Browser preference storage

A previous version of the Site’s privacy control could save an analytics preference in your browser’s local storage under the name alt-house:cookie-preferences. A value saved by that control contains only an analytics setting of true or false. It is local to the browser and website where it was stored; it is not a visitor identifier or a server-side consent record.

The current Site does not read or write this preference or transmit it to a server. A previously saved value does not activate analytics or authorize future collection. The preference has no application-set expiry and can remain until replaced or removed, including when the browser removes it. You can remove it using your browser’s controls for clearing this website’s stored site data. Clearing it does not enable analytics.

3.Website hosting

The Site is configured for delivery through Firebase Hosting, a Google service. Google’s Firebase privacy documentation states that Hosting processes IP addresses for abuse detection and usage analysis and retains IP data for a few months. This describes Google’s Hosting service, not a separate Alt House analytics system or an Alt House retention setting. The Site’s disabled analytics control does not control ordinary hosting processing.

4.Email correspondence

The Site provides a link to email info@althouse.tech for general inquiries. Following that link opens your email application; it does not submit an on-site form. If you send us a message, you provide your sender email address, any sender name included with the message, its contents and any attachments you choose to send. Please include only information relevant to your inquiry.

5.Optional site-usage analytics

Optional site-usage analytics is not currently active on the Site. The analytics checkbox in Privacy settings is disabled and unchecked. It cannot enable analytics collection, and a previously saved preference does not enable collection of visits, interactions, device attributes, location information or identifiers by an Alt House application analytics system. This does not prevent the hosting processing described in section 3.
